At Shook Lin & Bok, we take pride in our training to develop our lawyers to the best of their abilities and be the next generation of leaders. Practice Training Programme
As a practice trainee with us, you will immerse yourself in the day-to-day work of our lawyers, collaborating closely with some of the sharpest legal minds in the field. With our robust local, regional, and global client base, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to high-profile and intricate legal matters, spanning both domestic and cross-border jurisdictions.
In line with the Singapore Institute of Legal Education (SILE) guidelines effective from the 2024 Part B session onward, your practice training contract will span 12 months. Over this period, you will rotate through two distinct practice areas, enabling you to build a broader skill set and gain diverse perspectives. While we will carefully consider your expressed interests, placement in your preferred secondary area cannot be guaranteed due to seat availability.
Throughout your training, you will be paired with a dedicated supervising solicitor who will remain your consistent guide, alongside a mentor assigned during your second seat to offer tailored support in that practice area. Your supervising solicitor will serve as your primary resource for assignments, feedback, and professional guidance, though you can expect to receive tasks from various members of your practice group as you grow into the role.
